‌Samsung’s Galaxy A Series smartphones are always worth a look if you want decent features without suffering flagship prices. However, before you take the plunge and buy the Galaxy A34 or A54 this weekend it’s definitely worth waiting a few more days. On March 20, Samsung will unleash its next duo of low-cost call makers which get an update never seen before on the A Series.

Both the all-new Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G, which start from £339, now include something called Samsung Knox Vault. This security function has, until now, been reserved for Samsung’s more expensive devices but not anymore.

Those buying the A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G will now be treated to a robust safety function that helps protect the devices from vicious malware along with keeping personal files and data away from prying eyes

To help users feel even safer, Samsung has also added its Auto Blocker. This opt-in package can stop dodgy app installations and instantly scan for potential data-stealing bugs.

Away from those security upgrades, these phones get bright OLED screens thanks to Vision Booster technology. 120Hz refresh rates also feature for stutter-free scrolling and slick gameplay.

Huge 5,000mAh batteries are tucked under the Gorilla Glass coated shells with Samsung promising two days of life before needing to go near a plug.

Triple lens cameras are placed on the rear case, with the more premium A55 5G now able to shoot better images after dark thanks to enhanced Nightography.

To increase their longevity, there are four years of Android upgrades which is good but can’t quite match the might of the Galaxy S24 which now gets 7 years of updates.

The Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G will be available in four colour options including, Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lemon, Awesome Lilac and Awesome Navy. Both.

They will be available from March 20 with prices starting from £339.
