Nicole Scherzinger broke down in tears accepting one of seven Olivier Awards for Sunset Boulevard the musical on Sunday night.

The star-studded ceremony took place at the Royal Albert Hall in London, with stars like Succession’s Sarah Snook and Ripley’s Andrew Scott also winning big.

American singer Nicole was overwhelmed with emotion when she was presented with the trophy for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Norma Desmond.

She took on the role last September in the West End revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical version of the classic film, Sunset Boulevard.

According to the Daily Mail,  to the stage and was tearful as she launched into a touching speech.

“Thank God for saving me from that trip right there,” she said. “But seriously, without him I am nothing.

“Thank you to the London theatre community for wrapping your arms and legs around me like a spider monkey and embracing me as one of your own.”

Dressed in an elegant floor-length gown, she paired her showstopping look with hanging diamond earrings with a matching necklace and ring.

Her heavy eyeshadow remained impeccable as she fought back tears through the rest of her speech, teasing more acting roles to come.

“Coming from really humble beginnings I always wanted to be a singer and do musicals,” she added.

Sunset Boulevard was clearly the star of the show this year, picking up seven Olivier awards in total.

Nicole’s co-star Tom Francis won the award for Best Actor in a Musical, while Jamie Lloyd was awarded Best Director.

The musical also won technical awards for sound design and lighting, while Alan Williams picked up the award for Outstanding Musical Contribution for his musical supervision and direction.

For the non-musical category, Sarah Snook won Best Actress for The Picture of Dorian Gray and Mark Gatiss won Best Actor for The Motive and the Cue.

Although Andrew Scott missed out on an acting reward, his one-man version of Uncle Vanya, just titled Vanya, won Best Revival.
