Plane to Heathrow makes emergency landing after passenger emergency | UK | News

A plane was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK after a passenger reportedly attempted to take their own life.

EVA Airways flight BR67 had started its descent into London on Friday, March 15, from Bangkok when crews were alerted that a passenger was occupying one of its onboard toilets.

Passengers cannot occupy bathrooms during landing, as they must be strapped into their seats for safety reasons.

Investigating staff then reportedly found the passenger with injuries in a “state of serious distress”.

It is further understood that the person was helped by flight attendants and onboard staff, who provided immediate first aid.

The aircraft is listed as having landed at Heathrow airport at 7.03pm on Friday, according to Skyscanner, 17 minutes before it was due to touch down.

The Taiwan-based airline is yet to officially state where the aircraft landed, but it did confirm the distressing event had taken place.

Reports add that the passenger was quickly rushed to hospital once the plane landed.
