It starts in Jaipur, with staff preparing for the social event of the year, a lavish dinner for a maharaja. Sadly, incontinent elephants threaten to spoil the show. PH

As Du Beke and Pernice stroll through the crowds of Benidorm to the soundtrack of the Macarena, it looks like a missed opportunity to go beyond the obvious hotspots.
