Garden enthusiasts have a new reason to enjoy their morning coffee thanks to expert advice from Simon Akeroyd.
Akeroyd recently shared a unique gardening tip on Tiktok, that involves repurposing used coffee grounds to benefit plants.

According to Akeroyd, coffee grounds contain a wealth of essential nutrients that can significantly boost flowering and fruiting in plants.
Instead of discarding them, simply top up your cafeteria with water and use the diluted coffee to nourish your garden.
“Spent coffee grounds can be slightly acidic, so it’s best to use this method occasionally,” Akeroyd advises.
“Some acid-loving plants will thrive with this nutrient boost, such as blueberries, Japanese maples (acres), camellias (like the tea plant Camellia sinensis), and even coffee plants.”
