The M20 westbound near Ashford was closed at around 08.35am on Tuesday following a multi-vehicle collision. The incident prompted the closure of the motorway in Kent westbound between J9 (Ashford) and J8 (Maidstone).
Kent Police, National Highways Traffic Officers and Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene, with the traffic officers safely bringing traffic on the eastbound carriageway to a stop to allow Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex to land at scene.
