Drivers on the M5 are facing delays after a crash between a coach and bus brought traffic to a standstill. The incident occured on the southbound carriageway between J26 and J27, National Highways said, with delays expected until 10pm. Motorists have even been getting out of their cars amid the "chaotic" situation, Somerset Live reports.
Some have been moving traffic cones so that emergency services can get through roadworks. One said: "There’s a crash on the M5 southbound just south of the Wellington junction, in the roadworks area, traffic at a standstill and lots of blue flashing lights." Another added: "Crash southbound in the 50 zone near Wellington. Nothing moving. Emergency services just arrived".
