A major power fault at a huge UK train station has sparked chaos, with passengers being warned not to travel. Problems with signals have halted CrossCountry, London North Eastern Railway, TransPennine Express, and Northern services at Leeds. All services running through the station have either been cancelled or delayed, TransPennine Express said. It added: "Due to a fault with the signalling system at Leeds, all lines are blocked.
"There is a fault with the signalling system at Leeds, all lines between Manchester Victoria and York via Leeds will be closed. TransPennine Express services WILL NOT operate on the following routes between Manchester Victoria and York via Leeds on 30/11/2025 and Manchester Victoria to Scarborough, in both directions." The public has also been prevented from entering the station further than the gates, YorkshireLive reports.
