Disgraced financier Jeffery Epstein was warned to "watch out" in what appears to be a handwritten letter as photographs are among the recently released documents related to his case.

A trove of documents relating to Epstein's case were released by the The U.S. Department of Justice on Friday, December 19.

The release is part of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, federal legislation that mandates department to publish all remaining documentation as part of a drive towards openness.

A photograph of a letter cautioning Epstein is included in the release.

It is not clear who wrote the letter nor when it was written.

The handwritten letter reads: "A lot of these girls who you dealt with is or was runaways in the first place. Am pulling for you now and in the future to take care of self your health and watch out for people coming at you."

The letter ends with: "I will be pulling for you Mr. Epstein! I'm really am!!"

Search warrants, FBI affidavits supporting the warrants, financial records and travel records are among the materials included in the released files.

Also included are images of several famous people pictured with Epstein. The images and documents have been shared without context and it not is it clear when they were taken. Being photographed or mentioned in the files does not indicate nor imply any wrongdoing.

More than 1,200 people were eventually identified as victims of Epstein or their family members, the justice department said.

Epstein was a convicted child sex offender and died in 2019. His death in his prison cell was rule a suicide. He had pleaded not guilty to federal sex trafficking charges earlier that year.

His associate and former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, was found guilty of child sex trafficking and other offences connected to Epstein in 2021. She is serving a 20-year prison sentence in Texas.
