A popular retailer has announced 18 new stores as it seeks to expand to 1,000 outlets across the UK. Home Bargains, known for its affordable items, has revealed that 18 new shops were launched over the past 12 months, whilst promising a wave of new stores in 2026.
The firm reported rising profits and turnover in its most recent yearly figures. Sales climbed by 7.9% from £4.2bn to £4.54bn for the year ending 30 June 2025. The chain put the revenue growth down to launching additional shops throughout the year and store relocations, alongside stronger performance from current outlets.
Operating profit surged from £434m to £492m during this timeframe. Home Bargains expanded to 632 shops as of 30 June 2025.
In a new year statement to shoppers, it announced: “From opening 18 new stores to recognising achievements at our Store Managers Conference, it's been a year of big milestones across the business.
“And there's more to come, with the Doncaster Distribution Centre on the horizon and 50 years of Home Bargains to celebrate in 2026. A huge thank you to our customers and suppliers for your continued support and we're proud of our teams and everything they've achieved together this year.
Home Bargains confirmed it aims to expand its retail footprint over the coming year, with ambitions to eventually operate between 800 and 1,000 shops.
The figures emerge after Home Bargains announced plans to transform its network infrastructure through a new partnership in November. Retail giant Home Bargains has enlisted the services of Evolve Business Group to implement a fully managed network solution across its UK stores, aiming to boost security and operational efficiency.
The collaboration will see Evolve introduce its managed connectivity and secure payment infrastructure to over 650 stores, with 50 locations already up and running.
Working alongside Mako Networks, Evolve has incorporated several bespoke components to ensure compliance and scalability.
These include fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) technology and secure, PCI-compliant connections to payment and gift card data centres.
Tony Mullen, Home Bargains' head of IT Infrastructure and services, stated: “The partnership with Evolve has simplified our infrastructure and improved resilience, offering value without compromising on service or quality.
“These upgrades will support our continued expansion as we grow towards 1,000 stores nationwide.”
Alan Stephenson-Brown, CEO of Evolve Business Group, added: “Home Bargains is a major British retailer with exceptional growth ambitions.
“We're proud to deliver a secure, reliable and future-proof network that supports its success and enhances the customer experience.”
