A branch of a star-studded global restaurant in one of Britain's biggest cities has temporarily closed its doors as Britain's hospitality sector is gripped by challenging conditions. 

Hard Rock Cafe is famous the world over for bringing a touch of Hollywood glamour and the rock 'n' roll lifestyle to around 180 venues dotted across the globe. The USA-themed restaurant and bar was founded in London in 1971 by two Americans hoping to bring the Stateside aesthetic, combined with rock and music memorabilia, to the streets of the English capital.

The combination soon took off and became a worldwide success story, with the branch in Manchester serving happy customers since 2000. Artists which have played at the venue include the Spice Girls' Mel C and Welsh rock band, Feeder. 

Speaking about the temporary closure of the site in Manchester, a spokesperson for Hard Rock International shared: “While discussions are underway to determine the future of Hard Rock Cafe in Manchester, no final decision has yet been made, but we are suspending trade temporarily.

The Sun reports they added: “Until further notice, we will be here, true to our mission of offering an unforgettable experience, in the heart of legendary music, a city that has always welcomed us with warmth and enthusiasm.”

Other famous acts who have been spotted at the central Manchester Hard Rock Cafe have including the American grunge band, Green Day, and global singing sensation Taylor Swift.

Express.co.uk have contacted the Printworks and Hard Rock Cafe for comment. 

According to the Hard Rock Cafe website, at the time of writing, the chain has five locations across the UK and Ireland, including the branch in Manchester. 

In London the flagship bar and restaurant is in Park Lane, with another venue in Piccadilly, and the firm also has a location in Edinburgh and Dublin.
