Disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor refuses to read newspapers as he spends his final moments at Royal Lodge, before his eviction to Sandringham, sources have claimed. The former Duke of York is set to move into one of the King’s private properties in Sandringham Estate, following his latest fall from grace due to his links to convinced paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. He has always denied any wrongdoing.
King Charles stripped Andrew of his titles and honours and forced him to move out of Royal Lodge, where he had been living since 2004. The move was reported to be taking place before Easter, but sources now say it will happen before the end of the month, after removal vans were pictured in Windsor.
Sources claimed Andrew is “in his own bubble” and does not read any newspapers about him.
They told Hello! Magazine: “Andrew has stopped getting newspapers or reading anything. He's in his own bubble. The girls do see him.”
They added: “Andrew and Sarah have to move out by January 25. She has stood by him all these years but is now ready to spread her wings.
“She won't be moving in with him to the new house on the Sandringham Estate.”
It comes as new pictures taken today showed vans moving things out of Royal Lodge as work is continuing to prepare a property on the Sandringham Estate where Andrew is reported to be moving.
A 6ft wooden fence has been put up around a section of Marsh Farm in Wolferton, Norfolk, where the hedge is thin.
Marsh Farm is around two miles from the King's Sandringham House.
The former prince was stripped of his titles last year just before the posthumous release of Virginia Giuffre's book Nobody's Girl.
The memoir, which gives her account of being trafficked by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, includes allegations against a number of other individuals, including Andrew.
The book details previous claims that she was forced to have sex with the former prince on three occasions, including when she was 17.
Andrew vehemently denies the allegations.
He paid millions to Ms Giuffre to settle a civil sexual assault case, despite claiming never to have met her.
