Brooklyn Beckham’s ex-girlfriend has revealed just who actually wrote his bombshell Instagram statement, claiming he does not want to reconcile with his famous parents David and Victoria. In it, Brooklyn alleged that his mum Victoria danced “inappropriately” on him at his wedding, along with pressuring him to sign away the rights to his name.

Now Brooklyn’s ex, Afton McKeith – daughter of I’m A Celeb star Gillian McKeith – has given her own thoughts on the family rift. The pair dated in 2017. She said: “A lot has gone on over the years. This has not just happened suddenly. Brooklyn was telling the truth in his post. It was hard for him growing up.”

She added to The Sun: “There are two sides to every story, but I know growing up in the spotlight was challenging for him.”

And Afton insisted that Brooklyn wrote his post himself, insisting he is intelligent enough to have been able to phrase it in the way that he did – despite speculation it may have been penned by a PR team or even Nicola.

Brooklyn claimed in the statement: “My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead."
