While the 27-year-old's statements quickly went viral, Victoria’s silence amid the frenzy sent an unspoken message and seemed to give fans free rein to share their unfiltered thoughts. The former Spice Girl bore the brunt of the accusations as Brooklyn claimed she dropped out of making Nicola’s wedding dress in the “eleventh hour,” “hijacked” the first dance and “danced very inappropriately on me". But in an embarrassing twist, rather than shunning the singer, fans everywhere have instead made a mockery of Brooklyn.
Within hours, AI clips of Victoria dancing were created and immediately went viral while people shared their own hilarious wedding moves.
Perhaps most devastating of all, the fashion designer’s 2001 single, Not Such an Innocent Girl, quickly topped the charts and was the UK's best-selling single of the week, in what appeared to be a nationwide show of support for the famous parents.
During a guest appearance on CNBC's Squawk Box, the father of four shared his philosophy on social media use and stated: “I've always spoken about social media and the power of social media. What I have found personally, especially with my kids, as well, use it for the right reasons.”
The footballing icon added: “They make mistakes. Children are allowed to make mistakes. That's how they learn.
“So, that's what I try to teach my kids. But, you know, you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes, as well.”
It also seemed that the Beckham family waited to gauge public reaction before making their first public appearance and putting on a united front at Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris, where she also received the title of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters.
It appears that in her silence, Victoria has shrugged off Brooklyn’s accusations and sent a blunt message that it’s business as usual, reaffirmed by the public’s unwavering support and as a result, his Instagram posts have tragically backfired.
