Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, body language expert Dr Beth Dawson shared that the latest snaps show a couple presenting a united front, but with subtle signs of emotional strain bubbling beneath the surface.

Dr Dawson explained that the Beckhams appear to be doing what they have always done best, which is in times of scrutiny, they “move forward together, sharing the weight without explaining it." However, the behaviour analyst picked up on one particularly tense moment that demonstrated the painstaking lengths Lady Victoria is going to to ensure she takes back control of their family's narrative in the media.

“Her lips are slightly pressed together, her gaze is contained, and she engages less with the external environment,” Dr Dawson noted. “She isn’t seeking contact. This isn’t distance or coldness, but emotional control, and she is choosing restraint.”

The expert suggested the dynamic between the pair is telling, with Sir David taking on the role of managing the outside world, while Lady Victoria navigates her internal feelings.

“We can observe some slight leakage of emotions. There is tension around the jaw for both of them, and tension around the eyes, which shows fatigue. This is consistent with what we’re hearing from sources and family members," shared Dr Dawson. She added that Lady Victoria, in particular, appears “very affected by the situation”, but determined to remain composed in public.

Dr Dawson also suggested the Paris appearance would not have been accidental. “How they show up in public will have been discussed by them and their PR advisers, and they have decided it’s ‘business as usual’,” she said.

While neither Lady Victoria nor Sir David has publicly addressed the reported rift with Brooklyn, their perfectly curated world was turned upside down last week when the eldest of their four children went public about his grievance towards his mother.

Brooklyn accused the Spice Girl of "hijacking" the first dance at his wedding, which he says had been planned "weeks in advance" to a romantic love song.

"In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where, according to the schedule, my romantic dance with my wife but instead, my mum was waiting to dance with me. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life."
