Amid Brooklyn Beckham's highly publicised and long-running feud with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, it was reported that the 26-year-old lived an "abnormal life" behind the stardom. Biographer Tom Bower explored the star's upbringing, claiming that the budding chef lacked education as a child and endured "sad" birthdays. This comes after Brooklyn's bombshell statements on Instagram, in which he accused Posh and Becks of prioritising their public perception and claimed the "brand Beckham comes first".
In his Instagram posts, Brooklyn added, "My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else," and alleged that his parents had "controlled the narrative" of the family for his entire life. Tom, who authored The House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power, addressed David and Victoria's marriage and their children in a new interview.

In addition to Brooklyn, David and Victoria are also parents to Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14.
According to the 26-year-old, tensions began to boil in the lead-up to his wedding with billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz and during the ceremony, where he claimed he was left feeling "humiliated" by his mother, who he claimed "hijacked" the first dance.
Tom compared the feud to the major royal family fall-out, in which Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their royal duties and relocated to California shortly after their wedding.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Tom claimed: "In the end, he didn't get an education, was wheeled out for photo opportunities with 14-year-old Harper, who also isn't getting an education. Brooklyn witnessed an extraordinary marriage ever since the allegations of Rebecca Loos; it has been a business marriage more than a normal marriage and a normal home.

"On his 18th birthday, Brooklyn celebrated with his father, got a Mercedes and his mother was shopping in New York. That's where I feel that Brooklyn has finally exploded because now he's living with the Peltzes, they're a good family, they're hard working, and ever since the wedding, he is seeing a different sort of life. He's like Prince Harry; they explode. They haven't been taught how to cope with the pressure."
Tom added: "He's a victim, a young man now of 26 who has been through the mill and in the end, he's done nothing wrong, his parents have because they have used their children to build a brand."
The author continued: "He will certainly have been offered a book deal, there is no doubt. He's got an agent. People with money always want more money, but also, he has an extraordinary story to tell.
"The affairs, the breakdown of the marriage, it has been a commercial marriage that everyone has bought into. The happy family."
Victoria and David have not yet responded to Brooklyn's allegations.
