Anthony McCool, who is Brooklyn Beckham's former coach, has revealed he had concerns about the eldest child of David and Victoria Beckham. In a new ITV documentary, Beckham v Beckham: The Price Of Fame, Anthony reflected on his time coaching Brooklyn, now 26, when Brooklyn was 14. Brooklyn has been making headlines in recent weeks after lambasting his famous family in a lengthy social media post, in which he claimed his parents wanted to ruin his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz, among other allegations. He also said he has no plans to reconcile with his parents or siblings, Romeo, Cruz and Harper. Anthony shared: "Brooklyn was just very quiet, didn’t really look you in the eye at first. That took quite some time, but very polite."
He reflected on a particularly memorable incident in which Brooklyn's security guard brought him a "crate of Lucozade" after hearing that the teenager had not brought a drink to training.
The coach explained: "I kind of caught Brooklyn and looked at him and thought: 'Wow, this life is crackers.' He probably thought everyone was laughing at him, and that’s what made me quite sad.
"He would worry me because we never saw any kind of either massively high emotion or massively low…. He was almost like he was in this daze… and I think he was embarrassed at times."
Anthony did say, however, that he felt Victoria, 51, and David, 50, were just "trying to do the right thing".
"There's nothing anyone could have done," he added. "And I think maybe his parents were trying to do the right thing, perhaps by stepping back a little bit to try and give him the space."
Channel 4 is also releasing a documentary on the Beckham drama featuring various talking heads called Beckham: Family At War - Untold.

David and Victoria have not spoken publicly about Brooklyn's explosive statement and have been photographed with their other children in Paris recently, putting on a united front.
