Former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson, 65, has issued a furious response to a problem that's been causing damage to his colleagues on Diddly Squat Farm, including girlfriend Lisa Hogan and farm manager Kaleb Cooper.
However, Jeremy sadly went on to share that farmhand Gerald Cooper, who rose to fame on Amazon Prime Video docuseries Clarkson's Farm, has been the most severely impacted by the situation.
Speaking in his latest column for The Sun, Jeremy lashed out at "idiots with an AI tool" who have been manipulating images to create fake stories about his friends and co-stars on social media.
Jeremy addressed how AI is causing concern at the moment, as the technology is being used to create deepfake sexualised images, prompting the Labour government to pass a law making it a crime to create and request intimate images without consent.
He wrote: "There's a lot of talk at the moment about how idiots with an AI tool on their phone can post pictures of girls they know without any clothes on. But that’s not the extent of the problem.
"On Facebook this week, we heard from just my farm alone that Gerald has died, Kaleb has had another kid, Lisa has left me and I’ve broken my leg.
"All of the stories were accompanied by a completely realistic photograph. And all of them were complete nonsense."
The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host explained that the case of AI misinformation is frustrating him even more due to how it's causing a great deal of "worry" for Gerald, who doesn't want his children to be affected.
He continued: "Do I mind? Yes. Mostly because Gerald is unused to being in the public eye and it worries him that his kids see this kind of thing online.
"So whoever’s doing it, pack it in. And stop digitally removing clothes as well, you halfwits."
This isn't the first time that Gerald has been the target of fake news, as, just before Christmas, Jeremy's girlfriend Lisa had to shut down false reports that the Cotswolds-based farm's "Head of Security" had been rushed to hospital.
Lisa shared a video of Gerald, who recently battled cancer, smiling and dancing on Instagram alongside a caption which read: "G-Dwag doing his thang. No he hasn’t been in hospital, that’s all fake, really stupid and very mean.
"He’s a dancin and a laughing. Happy Christmas to Gerald and Family."
