To play the standard UK Lotto, you must select six numbers from 1 to 59. Draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday, and the goal is to match your chosen numbers with the randomly drawn numbers to win a prize.
You can choose to play your selected numbers for a single draw or for up to several weeks in advance. A single line of numbers for one draw costs £2.
You can play multiple lines at once (up to seven lines per slip and 10 slips at a time).
During the draw, six main numbers and one "Bonus Ball" are randomly selected. You win a prize by matching at least two of your selected numbers with the main numbers drawn.
The jackpot can roll over five times. After this, it must be won.
You can purchase tickets from a physical retailer or online via the National Lottery website.
