Oscar-winning actor Robert Duvall, who is best known for his iconic roles in The Godfather and Apocalypse Now, Lonesome Dove, Network and many others, died last night (February 15) at his home in Middleburg, Virginia at the age of 95. His death was announced by his wife Luciana Duvall. Although a cause of death was not immediately available, the statement said the actor died peacefully with his wife by his side.

In an emotional post shared just weeks before the legendary actor's death, Robert, penned a heartfelt message to his beloved wife Luciana, who had marked his birthday milestone. Taking to Facebook, he shared a candid video compliation curated by his other half. It showed the actor from a baby to a child, to a young man up until his ninth decade where he enjoyed a cookie. The montage ended with the words, "A mighty ride," followed by a birthday message.

Robert captioned the post: "Luciana surprised me with this wonderful birthday video in preparation for tomorrow's big 95! Thank you all for the support all of these years."
