Royal biographer and historian Andrew Lownie has dished on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and how he spends his days since being evicted from Royal Lodge. According to reports, the former prince has been told not to go horse riding at Sandringham or Wood Farm following his arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Royal aides believe such images could be damaging while he is under investigation. Horse riding had been a regular activity for him at Windsor before his recent move to Norfolk.

In a fresh update, the royal biographer, who appeared on the Jeremy Kyle Breakfast Show on Friday, shared how Andrew is spending his time, having not been seen in public for some weeks. Speaking on TalkTV, the host mused: "He's stuck on Wood Farm up in Sandringham. I hear he's not even allowed to go out the front door to go horse riding.

"What does he do all day, man?"

Lownie claimed the former Duke of York is stuck indoors watching movies all day.

"Well, what he did before really," Lownie remarked, "which is to basically mooch around all morning in his dressing gown and watch films."

He continued: "He used to go out riding. He can't play golf but he watches videos.

"He's always been a bit of a couch potato and he is just doing exactly the same."

Lownie emphasised that the former prince would also be staying in contact with his legal team.

He concluded, "I think he is still hopeful that he can do business activities but he just leads a very quiet life. Most of his friends have now abandoned him. It's pretty isolated world."

Andrew gave up his title of Duke of York in October, after facing increasing pressure over his links to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In November, the King officially stripped him of his prince title.

On February 19, the former duke was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office on the King's Sandringham Estate in Norfolk and has since been released under investigation.

The arrest came after Thames Valley Police said it was assessing a complaint over the alleged sharing of confidential material by Mountbatten-Windsor with Epstein.

Andrew has consistently and strenuously denied any wrongdoing.
