Fire crews are battling an enormous blaze tearing through historic buildings in Glasgow city centre, with the inferno threatening to engulf Central Station and the Grand Central Hotel.
Firefighters were called to Union Street at around 3.45pm on Sunday after smoke began pouring from a vape shop. The fire rapidly spread around the corner to Gordon Street, advancing toward the main station entrance and the adjoining hotel as thick smoke filled the night sky.
National Rail has closed Glasgow Central Station until further notice as crews work to bring the blaze under control.
