Davina McCall has urged anyone noticing unusual lumps or changes to their bodies to have them checked promptly, following her recent battle with breast cancer. Appearing alongside Jamie Theakston as his co-host on Heart Radio Breakfast on Friday, the duo openly discussed their individual health struggles and their current situations.
In late 2024, the 58-year-old disclosed that a rare benign tumour, referred to as a colloid cyst, had been identified during a health screening, as part of her menopause advocacy work.
After undergoing brain surgery, Davina revealed she experienced symptoms resembling Alzheimer's - something that had worried Jamie at the time.
"[My memory] was absolutely mad," she recounted. "I thought I had advanced Alzheimer's, I didn't know I had an operation, I thought I was in America because I was in a place called the Cleveland Clinic."

Having received messages from her during that period, Jamie confessed he was left baffled and concerned by some of what she was saying.
"I was thinking, what the heck, what are you on about?", he said. "I'm so sorry," she replied.
Looking back on that challenging period, Davina explained that she had even messaged her agent shortly after surgery to remind her she needed time off.
In an attempt to prevent her from sending such bizarre messages, she added that her husband, Michael Douglas, requested hospital staff to confiscate her phone.

During the same year, Jamie disclosed that he had been diagnosed with stage one laryngeal cancer, for which he has since undergone surgery, though admitted he remains anxious about the prospect of it returning.
While Davina had hoped 2025 would be a year to focus on recuperation, she received a breast cancer diagnosis just two months after undergoing a mammogram.
"I spent 2025 trying to get over the symptoms of the brain tumour and also, for Michael and I, it was really hard on us and it was just quite a difficult year," she shared.
"In October, interestingly two years almost to the month when I found out I had a brain tumour, I got breast cancer.

"It felt like being punched in the face by the universe. I just thought like, what? I was just beginning to feel myself again, but I was very lucky because...," she continued before issuing an important plea. "This is a real reminder to any women out there, but really check yourselves.
"I found a lump myself and I had had a mammogram in the August and it was in October I found a lump, so don't just think, 'I had a mammogram recently, it can't be that', it could be.
"If you've got something, go and get it looked at, it takes seconds," she added.
When asked how she is currently faring, Davina revealed that a scan on Thursday confirmed there was "nothing there".
