Amanda Holden has spoken up about the truth of why she stopped visiting Jeremy Clarkson's farm after her first trip to the Cotswolds hotspot years ago. The Heart Radio presenter is one of the celebrities who owns a home in the quiet, luxury countryside, which is also where Jeremy's Diddly Squat Farm is located.

Speaking on the breakfast show, Amanda said: "We don't love the queues in the Cotswolds, but we love it [the Clarkson's Farm show]. I've got a house up there that's really close and I went to his farm, very early on. I haven't been back since, only because the queues are so big."

But the 55-year-old said she could have visited the farm via an alternative route, joking: "I could probably just walk across the field to be honest, unless he might think I'm trespassing. 'Get off my land!'"

Despite the problems she encountered, she was curious to revisit another day. Amanda added: "I should go and have a look because everything has changed, they have got a whole new situation going on there."

Express deputy audience editor Alex Evans also made the trip to the farm last year and he had a similar experience. He gave a word of advice to Top Gear fans: "And you'll need a lot of time. I was told that during the Welsh half term week, families pour over the border for days out packed the farm, creating 'four hour queues' for the farm shop."

Reporter Alice Sjoberg also shared the same thought, she penned in her review: "We certainly weren't alone in our experience, as we joined a lengthy queue of eager visitors waiting to enter the small shop. With a big sigh each, we took our place at the end of the line, hoping the wait wouldn't be too long."
