
A man who died in a crash has been named as Daniel Mahmood as tributes pour in. The crash happened on Savile Street East at 10.40pm on Friday, April 24 when a black Porsche Cayenne was travelling away from city when it crashed into a Seat Ibiza, South Yorkshire Police said.
The driver and passenger in the Seat suffered minor injuries, and have been assisting the police in their investigation. However, the two men inside the Porsche, aged 32 and 26, suffered serious head injuries.
Sadly, the 32-year-old man died on Saturday (April 25) and the 26-year-old man remains in a serious but stable condition.
Announcing the death, Muslim funeral service noticeboard Janaza South Yorkshire said: "It is with great sadness we inform you of the passing away of Daniel Mahmood (Kanayli, District Mirpur/Harrowden Road, Tinsley) son of Ch Zaffar Mahmood, BROTHER of Shehroz Mahmood, grandson of late Haji Ch Mohammad Latif and late Ch. Ghulam Rasool, nephew of Ch Mohammed Razzaq (Sheffield College), Ch Mohammed Ishaq and Ch Mohammed Amin, also nephew of Ch Mohammed Ghazi and Barrister Abid Hussain."
