Donald Trump has issued another furious statement as he claims Iran is "choking like a stuffed pig". The US Presidentt recently dismissed Iran’s proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, arguing that Tehran’s offer avoided the core issue of its nuclear programme.
Several reports indicate that Iran suggested reopening the vital waterway in exchange for delaying nuclear negotiations, but US officials said this would remove a key element of American leverage in the conflict. Mr Trump insisted that nuclear restrictions must be part of any agreement from the outset, and advisers noted he was dissatisfied with a deal that would ease maritime tensions without addressing Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile.
He told Axios: "The blockade is somewhat more effective than the bombing. They are choking like a stuffed pig. And it is going to be worse for them. They can't have a nuclear weapon."
In an fiery Truth Social tirade against the regime earlier today, Trump wrote: “Iran can’t get their act together. They don’t know how to sign a nonnuclear deal. They better get smart soon!"
