
WXCHARTS maps, aided by MetDesk data, show a 23C heat surge arriving on Saturday, May 2, at around 18:00.
The hottest conditions are expected in the south east of England, in London and the surrounding counties.
Maps also show a huge patch of rain covering much of southern England, with Wales completely covered too.;
The Met Office says Saturday will see cloudy conditions for most with the threat of rain or showers.
It added: "Driest in eastern England with warm spells of sunshine here until later with rain soon arriving from the south."
Rain is forecast for Saturday night into Sunday: "Persistent rain pushing northwards, mainly lingering in northern England. Sunshine and showers, locally heavy, breaking out in the south with the driest conditions across Scotland."
As for Bank Holiday Monday, the forecaster says: "Further showers on Monday, heavy and thundery. Turning cooler into early next week with a mix of sunny spells and showers, but these generally lighter than the weekend."
