The Met Gala has brought celebrities from across the world to New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art where they don incredible outfits, and last night, we saw legendary singer Cher returning to the annual fundraising event in over a decade.
The Believe songstress, 79, made her way to the famous Met Gala steps wearing a custom Burberry black lace tulle dress and a leather corset with crystal embellishment. The look, according to designer Daniel Lee, is a nod to Cher's "naked dress" she wore to her first Met Gala back in 1974.
Looking back at the iconic 1974 look, she told Vogue: "I was naked, and so many people were upset about it, but now people wouldn't even give it a thought. I was real skinny so there was nothing really showing."
This month, Cher is turning 80 but she certainly does not look her age. Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury prepped Cher's skin with her bestselling Magic Cream and undereye bag-busting eye patches before creating a flawless canvas with foundation and concealer.
To bring attention to Cher's beautiful eyes, makeup artist Francesca Tolot used a new product - Exagger-eyes Easy Eyeshadow Sticks - in chestnut sculpt to make her eyes bigger and brighter. Then she added a light dab of lilac blush on her cheeks, which complements her fair complexion.
Fans reacted in love emojis as one commented: "Cher at 79 years old, she looks amazing!"
"I find it very hard to believe that Cher is going to be 80 in a few weeks," another added. Charlotte herself posted: "It was such an honour to see so many gorgeous guests get ready for the red carpet in my beauty secrets. Joining other celebrities like Beyonce, Nicole Kidman and more to participate in the theme "Fashion is Art".
Cher said: "I love to see people expressing themselves, and it gives me ideas and encouragement about the generations that are coming up."
