M25 drivers on a stretch of the UK's busiest motorway have been hit by traffic chaos this morning after a huge crash. The M25 in Kent is blocked clockwise between junction 5 (Sevenoaks) and junction 6 (Godstone) following a "traffic incident".
Emergency services have rushed to the scene, along with National Highways traffic officers. Drivers have been warned they face delays of up to 30 minutes and three miles of traffic on approach. Motorway camera pictures show traffic at a complete standstill, while another appears to show a huge lorry has crashed into a roadside barrier, with debris on the motorway. National Highways South West wrote on X: "The #M25 in #Kent is blocked clockwise between J5 #Sevenoaks & J6 #Godstone following a traffic incident. Our traffic officers and the Emergency services are on scene. Current delays of 30 minutes and 3 miles of congestion on approach."
