
A beloved pop star has died in a car crash after leaving his sold-out concert. Izac Bruno Coni Silva, better known as Zau O Pássaro, sadly died at the age of 27, after suffering a serious car accident last Monday (May 4), CNN Brasil reports.
The vocalist was from the city of Conceição do Almeida, in Bahia, and was known for his work in Bahian pagode. The performer leaves behind a wife and two young daughters. He had just performed to a packed crowd in Barreiras, Brazil, on Sunday (3 May) night.
According to reports, Zau was killed while travelling home in the early hours of the morning. He was pronounced dead at the scene and reportedly had to be cut free from the wreckage.
The singer was involved in a serious accident on BR-116, near the city of Feira de Santana (BA), after performing a show.

The collision occurred around 7:20 am, when the car he was in crashed into the back of a truck carrying televisions that was stopped on the shoulder. The information comes from the Bahia State Culture Secretariat and the Federal Highway Police.
Three other people were seriously injured and taken to Clériston Andrade General Hospital.
On social media, his widow posted photos with her husband and wrote: "I love you, my Zau."
His family penned a heartbreaking statement on Zau's social media account confirming the tragic news.
It read: "With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Izac Bruno Coni Silva (Zau, the Bird), whose departure leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The burial will be held tomorrow (05), at 3 pm, in the cemetery of the city of Conceição do Almeida, where family and friends will gather to pay their last respects and say goodbye with all love, respect and longing."
They continued: "Zau will be remembered for his joy, his remarkable presence and for everything he represented in the lives of so many people. Your legacy will live on in the memories, in the smiles shared and in every story lived by your side.
In this moment of pain, we stand in solidarity with all the family and friends, wishing strength and comfort to face this irreparable loss."
In July 2025, Mariana posted a photo with her husband and daughters with the caption: "I am a billionaire of what fills my heart, completes my soul, and truly has value. My family, as long as God is at the center, we will never be shaken!"
The Brazilian was rising in popularity and managed to sell out several shows he performed across the country.
