Jake Hall's devastated brother has paid a heartfelt tribute after breaking his social media silence for the first time since the shocking death of his TOWIE star sibling last week. Jake passed away in Majorca following a chest injury after reportedly crashing through a patio door at the luxury property he was renting in Spain. Police have confirmed his death is being treated as accidental after questioning four men and two women, as fans, friends and family struggle to come to terms with the devastating news. His brother Sonny has spoken out following the tragic incident, sharing a brief story entitled The Dragonfly, which told of a beetle that climbs from the depths of a pond before transforming into a magnificent dragonfly that "soared and saw the beauty of a whole new world".
The story continued to describe how the creature's life had "been fulfilled, rather than ended". It concluded with an emotional closing line, conveying that the dragonfly would one day be reunited with his loved ones after he had "raised his wings and flew off into his joyous new life."
Jake joined the TOWIE cast in 2015, going on to date co-star Chloe Lewis before leaving the show shortly afterwards. He also established his own menswear label, By Jake Hall. The star's friends have portrayed him as 'lonely and lost' and revealed how he attempted to take his own life prior to his death at the age of 35 last week.
Jake's former partner, and mother of his daughter, Misse Beqiri, said she believes his death was accidental, and a close friend of the late star has now opened up about Jake's struggles and said being famous was 'the worst thing' that could have happened to him.
The friend told Daily Mail: "Being famous and rich was the worst thing that could have happened to him. Being on the show was the worst thing he could have done, it sent him off the rails. He was very up and down."
Following Jake's death, his former partner and mother to his child Misse wrote on Instagram: "I never thought I would ever have to write this, and the pain of even putting these words down feels unbearable. There was no way you were ever supposed to go. My heart is shattered, and so is our daughter's.
"You lit up every room you walked into - your smile, your charm, your energy that filled the air. The way you loved music, how deeply you felt every sound, your creativity, your mind, your spirit.
"You were so deeply loved by so many people, and seeing the love everyone has for you is both heartbreaking and beautiful all at once. Your constant mission to stop me from taking naps still makes me smile.
"I loved you from the very first moment I saw you, and there was never a chance you were going to let me go."
