Rod Stewart is set to become a grandfather once more after his daughter Ruby Stewart revealed she is expecting her second child. The Maggie May legend, 81, will see his already considerable family grow further this summer as he and wife Penny Lancaster prepare to welcome yet another grandchild into the fold. Singer and model Ruby, 38, took to Instagram yesterday evening, Sunday, May 10, to announce that she and her partner Jake Kalic are expecting their second baby together in an adorable post which showed their two-year-old son Otis holding up their pregnancy scan. She captioned the post: "We couldn't decide on what to get Otis for his third birthday, so we decided a sibling should suffice... baby Kalick #2 coming in early August..." Ruby and her fiancé Jake welcomed little Otis in May 2023, who is Rod's oldest grandson.

Rod welcomed Ruby back in 1987 with his ex-girlfriend, Kelly Emberg, who was his first and only child with the model.

Ruby, an American singer, songwriter, and fashion model, is best known for her work in country rock, both as a member of the band The Sisterhood and in her solo musical endeavours.

The 38-year-old formed the country-folk-rock duo The Sisterhood alongside Alyssa Bonagura until 2021, before embarking on a solo career, frequently taking to the stage alongside her famous father, including memorable performances of Forever Young.

She is one of Rod's eight children and is widely regarded as being on excellent terms with her various half-siblings. Among those offering their congratulations in the comments section of her post were her sisters Kimberly and Renee Stewart, along with Rod's former wife Alana.

Alana, who was married to Rod from 1979 to 1984 and shares kids Kimberly and Sean together, wrote: "Congratulations! And I can't believe Otis is already three!" Her daughter Kimberly commented: "The cutest!!!" Rod's youngest daughter Renee also left two love heart emojis beneath the heartwarming post.

Rod and Penny are already grandparents to four grandchildren, with Rod's son Liam welcoming his second child, Elysie Skylar Stewart, in March last year. Penny shared touching photographs of herself and Rod meeting little Elsie, saying: "So proud to meet little Elsie, what an angel. Nicole, Liam and Louie have their baby girl joining them in their new home and how harmonious they are."

Rod's other grandchildren include Otis, Louis (Liam's son) and Delilah (Kimberly's daughter).

Kimberly took to Instagram on March 16, 2025 to reveal that she was pregnant and expecting her second baby, a son. The pregnancy came after she welcomed their daughter in 2011 with her ex Benicio del Toro.

She shared the announcement alongside photographs of herself cradling her blossoming baby bump, dressed in a fitted floral dress while posing outdoors. Kimberly has yet to publicly confirm the arrival of her second child.
