The annual Sunday Times rich list has been released, naming who the wealthiest people, including families and individuals, in Britain are in 2026. Sanjay and Dheeraj Hinduja and their family topped the 2026 rankings with an estimated fortune of £38 billion following the death of Hinduja Group patriarch Gopichand Hinduja last year.
The billionaire businessman died in London aged 85 and had overseen the global Indian conglomerate alongside his family for decades. The latest rich list also saw several familiar names retain places among the UK’s wealthiest figures, including billionaire businessman Sir Jim Ratcliffe and vacuum cleaner entrepreneur Sir James Dyson.
A major new entrant to the list was entrepreneur and investor Christopher Harborne, who has made record political donations to Reform UK. Harborne entered the rankings in sixth place with an estimated wealth of £18.177 billion.
