Drivers on two motorways are facing huge delays on Monday afternoon. Two separate crashes have prompted severe delays on both the M56 and M57 during rush hour. On the M56 eastbound, two out of two lanes on the entry slip at junction 10 are closed, and all three lanes are closed between junctions J10 and J9 eastbound. National Highways warned shortly after 6.30pm of delays of one hour against normal traffic conditions.
40-minute delays are expected on the M57 following an earlier crash, National Highways also said. The delays are on the stretch northbound between junctions J2 and J4. Two out of three lanes were closed at the time of writing, at approximately 6.44pm.
