
Police swarmed a street near a polling station after an explosion was heard in Catasauqua.
Pennsylvania State Police say they are investigating a report of an “unknown explosive device” being thrown from a vehicle near a polling location. Local reports also mentioned a “sort of explosion” near the vehicle in the area of the Salem United Church of Christ.
State police said nobody was injured and there is no threat to the public. Officers were called to Third Street at around 9.12 am US time. A police cordon was set up in the area and fire crews also attended.
