Britons seeking the ultimate liberating outdoor holiday experience can find it at a sprawling nudist resort nestled in the heart of the United States. Cypress Cove Resort, situated just outside Orlando, Florida — a city renowned for its world-famous theme parks — is a vast 300-acre retreat complete with a lake, woodland, wetlands and an activity centre.
The 84-villa holiday destination isn't merely a picture-perfect getaway, however, as it also serves as a sanctuary for nudists who prefer to go about their daily activities without a stitch of clothing. The resort offers everything one could wish for from a holiday venue, from on-site dining (including one restaurant aptly named Cheeks) to a hair and nail salon, massage centre, boutique, and bicycle and golf cart hire, reports the Daily Star.

Guests can also make use of a fully equipped gym and fitness room, a white sandy beach with fire pits, a sun deck, docks, canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and pedal boats.
Visitors can unwind at one of two swimming pools or soak in the hot tubs. Activities include fishing, tennis courts, pickleball, pétanque, volleyball, shuffleboard and golf. Come evening, guests can enjoy karaoke, themed weekends, live entertainment and dancing — all entirely in the nude.
The resort sits within easy reach of iconic attractions such as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World. It is also a mere 90-minute drive from beaches on either side of Florida, including the naturist-friendly Blind Creek Beach on the East Coast, meaning guests need never reach for their clothes even at the seaside.

The naturist resort attracts a significant number of British holidaymakers – and is advertised on the British Naturism website – generally welcoming families and couples alike. Visitors can stay overnight or simply enjoy a day trip, though single men should be aware that the resort "require[s] first-time, single males to have nudist membership or prior nudist experience".
Guests staying in one of the luxury villas or apartments will receive complimentary Wi-Fi and TV, along with full access to all the resort's facilities. Rooms can be booked directly through the resort's website – cypresscoveresort.com – with prices varying depending on membership status, length of stay and whether it falls within peak season.
Regarding the nudist etiquette, Cypress Cove Resort states: "Nudity is always welcome and encouraged, especially in the pool area. Because people all around you are nude, relaxed, and enjoying their day, being nude is often more comfortable. You will quickly discover that people really do come in all shapes and sizes and that very few of us are perfect.
"In fact, it's often people with body acceptance issues who get the most of out of our lifestyle. After a lifetime of discomfort, it can be life changing to discover a place where nobody ever judges you by your appearance."

Over on Tripadvisor, naturists were keen to share their opinions of the resort.
One visitor hailed it as the "best nakation spot" while another remarked: "Exceptionally clean, well-stocked and very comfortable, Most everything you need is found within. The entire property is immaculate, always clean and beautiful. Every person we meet is friendly, outgoing and cheerful.
"The entire property and buildings provide a Caribbean vibe of pastel colours with the exception of the villas. Cypress Cove is a wonderful clothing optional resort with so many activities, truly amazing food at their restaurants and wonderful staff and certainly the guests."
A third enthusiast added: "With all due respect to the other nudist resorts that we've been to, and in all fairness to those that we have not yet had the opportunity to visit, we feel confident in saying that Cypress Cove is THE gold standard for nudist resorts in the United States"
