
He added that Catherine spents so much of her time reading about the early years, one of her main projects, and joked: "Most evenings I'm fighting to get past ,in the bedroom, with all the paperwork that she has got lined up ready to read."
Host Jamie then brings up Catherine's recent cancer ordeal, having been diagnosed at the start of 2024 and undergoing six months of chemotherapy. The princess is now in remission and has resumed full time duties.
Reflecting on her visit to Italy last week, Jamie says to the prince: "It must have been a difficult time back then with the kids as well and seeing her fulfill those duties must have made you very happy."
"Yeah, very much so," William replied. "She's an amazing mum and an amazing wife and literally our family couldn't cope without her. So she has been absolutely stunning, really has."
The prince then told the hosts how exhausting foreign trips can be, prompting Amanda to joke: "You have to balance it with maybe a glass of wine and some pasta on the sly. I'm hoping she grabbed that."
Laughing, William said: "We all need a glass of wine everynow and again Amanda."
