Although it is not clear when the next time they will come face-to-face will be, rumours are swirling that Harry could return to his home country this summer to mark the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham. This could therefore provide Harry the opportunity to see his father, who he last spoke to in person many months ago. While Clarence House seems to be the pair’s usual spot for meetings, royal author Ingrid Seward has said they might opt for another royal residence instead.
She said this could be Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where King Charles and Queen Camilla spend their summers.
This is believed to be an ideal location for an under-the-radar visit, especially if Harry wants to bring his wife Meghan Markle and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Seward told The Mirror: “The only place that really I think they could meet if the King is to get to know or at least see his grandchildren, is at Balmoral.
"It’s the only time the King has time and the Sussexes could be accommodated there because there’s lots of cottages on the Estate.”
She continued: “There wouldn’t be all the drama surrounding security either because if Harry and his family are staying in a royal residence they’ll get full security.”
Archie and Lilibet also last visited the UK in 2022.
Prince Harry often returns to his home country solo, arguing that he feels Britain is too unsafe for his family.
