The search for Katie Price's husband, Lee Andrews, is finally over after the reality star revealed that, after nearly two weeks of searching, he had been arrested and was in Al Awir prison. Initially, the 47-year-old claimed she last spoke to her husband on Wednesday, May 13 and that he was in a van with his hands tied, leading her to fear that he'd been kidnapped. Now, Katie has revealed that after a two-minute phone call, Lee is alive and has been in the notorious desert jail branded "Dubai Alcatraz" by former inmates, as she confirmed: "I have found him. He is alive, and he is okay."

Although this seemingly ends the bizarre saga of Lee's disappearance, five major questions remain unanswered.

Why is Lee in prison?

The UAE-based businessman is reportedly set to be released from prison if he pays a "four-figure" fine to authorities.

Although being Katie's fourth husband guaranteed a life of publicity, Lee seemed to want to forge his own path in espionage after he was suspected of being a spy.

After announcing that he was found, the former model revealed: "I have found him, he is alive, and he is ok.

"I told him how worried I had been and told him I loved him. It was very rushed, but he said the authorities out there thought he was a spy. I don’t know much more than that right now," she told The Sun.

However, it just leaves the question of why they thought he was a spy.

If he was in prison, who followed the 'biker babe'?

Nine days into his disappearance, it was exposed that Lee was back on social media and had followed a woman on Instagram called Mari Sol, a self-professed "biker babe".

The glam US Navy veteran's account was private, but her addition to his following list was significant because before, he had been following just one person, Katie.

Lee’s following on Instagram is now back down to one person, but according to a new report, this is due to Mari Sol blocking him after discovering the drama surrounding his identity.

Given the speculation that the prison is "Dubai Alcatraz," how did Lee gain the privilege of having a smartphone?

Why did Katie deny he had been arrested?

Before Katie's confirmation, Lee's dad, Peter, had broken his silence and said that the star was in Dubai prison, but the mum of five disputed this claim and insisted he had been kidnapped.

He told the MailOnline: "Lee is okay. He has not been kidnapped, but he is under arrest. I don't know on what charge. I'm not sure where he is being held."

Katie retorted: "Lee is still missing. Me and his family know what’s going on and working, with the authorities involved."

A missing persons’ report was filed with the British Embassy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Dubai police denied that Lee had been detained.

While Peter's claims seem to now line up with the truth, why did Katie deny he was in prison?

Which phone did he use?

When Lee vanished, he told Katie he had three phones: one he was using to message her and two he had taken.

But mysteriously, calls to his number did connect on occasion, and messages to his WhatsApp received a double tick one Saturday evening during the time he was missing.

That means the phone had either been charged by him or the people who took him. While this remains to be resolved, it's also possible that Lee has truly enviable battery life.

Where are the official statements?

Throughout Lee's highly publicised disappearance, Dubai police have yet to release a public statement updating fans about the search, and even the UK's Foreign Office has not confirmed he has been detained.

While no official statement was made, the Foreign Office repeated an earlier line that: "We are supporting the family of a British man and are in contact with the local authorities."

It had previously been alleged that the businessman was being sought by Interpol, but a source via the Mirror denied this and claimed that if he is being held by authorities in the UAE, it's not likely to be due to a report that was first received by Hertfordshire Police.

To which they stated: "We’d like to clarify that Hertfordshire Constabulary received a report in March, however, once it was established the alleged offences happened in Dubai, we referred this case to the relevant authorities as this was outside of our jurisdiction."
