Donald Trump’s health has been under speculation for months after a series of long blinks, mysterious rashes and numerous medical appointments. Now fresh questions have erupted after a prominent physician appeared to wonder why the White House has yet to release the results of the US president’s latest medical examination. Dr Vin Gupta, a physician and former chief medical officer at Amazon, weighed in after Trump underwent another health check at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center earlier this week.
On X, he shared a short clip of former First Lady Dr. Jill Biden being interviewed by Rita Braver on CBS News Sunday Morning, where they discussed his infamous 2024 debate speech. Underneath, he wrote: "The current medical team for the current @POTUS hasn’t released a formal memorandum of his physical exam. And yet, here we are revisiting the health of the prior president. Interesting timing…" Appearing to hint that there was something suspicious about the timing of the interview, it wasn't long before followers also added their thoughts.

One user replied, "I was wondering the same thing when I saw this yesterday. Trump's health is obviously on the brink of something very bad, and the American people have a right to know. He has many, many health issues, including his major cognitive decline."
A second person demanded, "Walter reed doctors are not doing their job by keeping secret Trump's failing health & his incompetence to fill the role of president. Legally they are required to take responsibility & remove him."
However, someone else defended Trump, writing, "He was literally stuttering. He has a stutter but he controls it. The issue is that he has been traveling too much and was exhausted. His team didn’t take care of him."
The comments come as scrutiny over Trump’s health and stamina continues to intensify ahead of next year’s midterm elections.
The 79-year-old president recently declared that everything had checked out "PERFECTLY" following what he described as a "6 month physical", although the White House has so far not released a detailed written report from his doctors.
Following accusations of Trump falling asleep during key meetings, he hit back, saying: "Sometimes they’ll take a picture of me blinking, blinking, and they’ll catch me with the blink." Describing closing his eyes, he said: "I’ll just close. It’s very relaxing to me."

The renewed speculation comes amid growing online discussion surrounding Trump’s recent public appearances. Social media users have repeatedly pointed to moments where the president appeared tired during events, while others have speculated about visible bruising on his hand and a mark on his neck seen during recent appearances.
Some critics have also accused the White House of attempting to conceal injuries with makeup, though no official medical explanation has been provided.
The White House has firmly pushed back on concerns about Trump’s health.
Spokesperson Davis Ingle said in a statement: "President Trump is the sharpest and most accessible President in American history who is working nonstop to solve problems and deliver on his promises, and he remains in excellent health."
Questions around presidential fitness have become increasingly politically charged in the US following the intense scrutiny faced by former president Joe Biden during the 2024 election campaign.
Trump, who turns 80 next month, is already the oldest person ever elected president.
Earlier this year, more than 30 neurologists, psychiatrists and medical experts signed a statement claiming the president displayed "objectively observable signs of serious medical concern", although none had personally examined him.
