A British beach has been hailed as the best in the country and holds a staggering 4.5-star rating online. Attendees hailed the "coastal gem" as a perfect escape for the warmer weather. A top ten shared by TripAdvisor users with an aggregate rating used to weigh out the best beaches in the country pitted the likes of Brighton Beach and Camber Sands in the top five.
But both missed out on the top spot, as did Filey Beach and the "hours of fun" to be found at Woolacombe Beach. Members of the public instead flocked to one beach where the nature around the area is all part of the attraction.
Bournemouth Beach found itself in the top spot as holidaymakers highlight its natural beauties and the relaxed surroundings. One attendee wrote: "Bournemouth Beach is a true coastal gem that offers a delightful escape to nature's beauty and relaxation. Nestled along the southern coast of England, this sandy haven boasts a stunning blend of natural splendor and vibrant seaside charm."
Another added: "We went for the weekend and found a beautiful, clean golden sand beach without a speck of rubbish on it. It wasn’t at all overcrowded considering the lovely sunny warm weather. Great atmosphere day and night and a decent amount of facilities without spoiling the peaceful vibe."
Other reviews praised the sea and sand which made for lovely views at the "well-maintained" beachfront.
A third review reads: "Bournemouth Beach is stunning – soft golden sand, clean water, and a lovely promenade with great views. The beach was well-maintained, and there were plenty of facilities nearby. Perfect for a relaxing day out, whether you're swimming, sunbathing, or just strolling along the shore."
