Ruth Langsford is said to be looking forward to a bright and positive year ahead as she continues to move forward with promising business prospects following her split with Eamonn Holmes. In May 2024, the estranged couple shocked fans with a joint statement announcing their separation and eventual divorce. Although this saw the presenter briefly step away from the Loose Women panel, Ruth has since returned and is seemingly enjoying a brand new lease of life.
"It was absolutely the best thing I did for me, just to be able to talk to somebody who is completely independent of the situation," Ruth told the Mirror.
She reflected: "My therapist said to me, 'Just find your light, it's there. I know this feels very dark at the moment, but the light is there'. So I just kept that in my mind, find your light, because it's there, you'll get there.
"It's never easy, you know? None of these things are easy. But I found my light, so I feel like I've come out through the worst of it, really, now."
As for how she's feeling almost two years on from their split, Ruth stated: "I've always been a very independent woman, that hasn't really changed. But this is where I found myself, and I just have to get on with my life and make my own happiness and keep my career going, and look out for my son, that's what I'm doing.
"You know, life changes, life can change from one second to the next, one hour to the next, one day to the next, nobody knows what's going to happen in their life, but here I am, and I'm doing all right. They say time is a great healer, and that always sounds like a bit of a cliche, but I really believe it is," Ruth concluded.
