To find the best European beaches where you’re pretty much guaranteed sunshine, airport transfer experts hoppa analysed dozens of European beach destinations, scoring them on key factors including average summer rainfall to reveal the spots with the most reliable sunshine. Their top spot is a gorgeous beach where it almost never rains.
Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa, Cyprus has an average of 0mm of rainfall during the summer months. It’s famed for having crystal clear water, and soft white sand - perfect for a summer beach day.
People who have visited the beach have raved on Tripadvisor about how beautiful it is, Emma wrote: “Nissi Beach completely blew us away.
"The water is crystal clear turquoise and the sand is so soft you just don't expect something this beautiful.
"There is a small island just offshore you can actually walk out to through the shallow water which the kids absolutely loved!”
Olivia agreed, writing: “Amazing beach, feels like I am in the Caribbean!”
In second place of the ranking is Faliraki Beach in Rhodes which also has an average of 0mm of summer rainfall.
This beach has warm water, golden sand and a lively atmosphere that's great for families. There’s activities like paragliding and banana boats for the thrill seekers, and a water park for younger kids.
The third beach is also in Rhodes, with an average of 0mm of rain over summer. St Paul’s Bay is tucked beneath the historic village of Lindos and has a beautiful sheltered cove.
There’s beautiful, clear and calm waters to swim in and the scenery is stunning.
