An accident on a major motorway has caused traffic to be held in both directions as congestion builds for commuters this morning. All traffic is being temporarily held due to an accident on the M6 in both directions from J21 A57 Manchester Road (Woolston) to J21A M62 J10 (Croft Interchange).
National Highways is reporting delays of 30 minutes on the M6 northbound between J20 and J21, as well as southbound between J23 and J21A. There are also delays of 10 minutes at the M6 southbound entry slip at J21A from M62 Eastbound.
