Silo enthusiasts have been patiently waiting over a year for the new season — but the wait is nearly over. The Apple TV series, adapted from author Hugh Howey's Silo novel trilogy, is set to launch next month. Alongside the likes of Severance and For All Mankind, Silo has been hailed by devotees as amongst the finest prestige sci-fi television currently available, reports the Mirror.

Ahead of its arrival, the streaming service has unveiled a gripping teaser promising yet another epic instalment. The programme will pick up from the dramatic aftermath of the second run, while season three may finally uncover the catastrophic events that forced the community to dwell within the Silo. Here's everything you need to know about when you can tune in to the new series and when episodes will become available to viewers on Apple TV.

Silo season three will launch worldwide on 3rd July on Apple TV and, consistent with other programmes on the platform, will air on a weekly schedule.

The new season comprises 10 episodes in total, mirroring the previous two instalments.

A synopsis for the upcoming series states: "Season three of Silo continues the saga of a dystopian society of 10,000 people living underground under mysterious circumstances, while revealing an origin story set centuries earlier.

"In the present, Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) survives her forced "cleaning" but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat.

"Meanwhile, in the "Before Times," journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences.

"The series is based on Hugh Howey's New York Times bestselling trilogy, Silo."

Here is the Silo season 3 episode release schedule:

The fourth and final season of Silo was renewed back in 2024 at the same time as the third series.

The double renewal came after the enormous success of Silo season two.

Silo's showrunner and executive producer Graham Yost said in a statement at the time: "It has been a richly rewarding experience to adapt Hugh's epic novels with our partners at Apple, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this complete story to the screen over the course of four seasons."

Yost added: "With the final two chapters of Silo, we can't wait to give fans of the show an incredibly satisfying conclusion to the many mysteries and unanswered questions contained within the walls of these silos."

Silo season 3 will premiere on Apple TV on July 3
