
A young girl has been rushed to hospital after a vehicle rolled over her in a car park in Wirral. Merseyside Police were called to the Mimosa Tea Garden on Green Lane in Eastham at around 3.50pm today, June 20, following reports that an unattended vehicle had rolled over a four-year-old girl in the tea room's car park.
Emergency services attended the scene and the child was taken to hospital for assessment, according to police. The owner of the vehicle remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries. An investigation has been launched, and police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
Merseyside Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a child at a car park in Eastham this afternoon, Saturday 20 June.
"At around 3.50pm we received a report that a four-year-old girl was injured following an unattended vehicle rolling over her in the car park of Mimosa Tea Garden on Green Lane.
"Emergency services attended and the child has been taken to hospital to be assessed.
"The owner of the vehicle remained at the scene and is helping police with their enquires. An investigation is underway, and we are appealing for anyone who saw the incident to please contact us."
