King Charles' decision to offer Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Archie and Lilibet an olive branch and royal residence will be viewed as a betrayal of the Princess of Wales, it has been claimed. Mail columnist Amanda Platell said the reunion will leave Kate feeling slightly betrayed as she returns to public life after her cancer battle, having loyally filled the royal duties vacuum created by the Sussexes.
She highlights their history of cruelty towards Kate, from claims in Finding Freedom and Spare to Meghan’s false Netflix assertion that Kate is “not a hugger”. Ms Platell noted Prince William believes his father is making a serious misjudgment, insisting there is no place left in Britain for Harry or Meghan.
She added: "William, you must stand firm and protect your family from the Sussexes' manipulation, which some have already derided as the 'emotional blackmail' of a frail and elderly father being held hostage by his opportunistic son and his grasping wife. Most of all, William, protect Kate."
