Prime Video has recently launched a two-part documentary examining the crimes of Australian broadcaster and artist, Rolf Harris. The documentary Rolf Harris: Primetime Predator explores how, after decades of operating undetected, his offences continue to impact his victims to this day. In 2014, he received a sentence of five years and nine months imprisonment, but was freed on licence in 2017 after serving merely three years.

Following his release, he lived at his property in Bray, Berkshire, alongside his wife - sculptor and artist Alwen Hughes. Here is everything you need to know about the £1.7million residence and whether it remains on the market.

In March 2026, his property was put up for auction at less than half its initial asking price.

The waterfront residence had been marketed for £4million in April 2025, but was scheduled to be auctioned by BTG Eddisons this year with a guide price of £1.95 million.

"Given the cost of renovation, it's just not cost effective if you have to pay £4million for the property," local estate agent Brian Warren remarked when the house was initially placed on the market, as quoted by The Standard.

"They're looking at paying another £1.5million on top of the price to rebuild it because it's on the river."

Harris resided at the property for several decades alongside his wife, Alwen, and daughter, Bindi Harris, who has since adopted a different name. He died at the riverside home, situated on the banks of the River Thames, in May 2023 at the age of 93.

Stretching across 6,440 square feet over two storeys, the property boasts four bedrooms, a 45-foot living space and a 35-foot master bedroom. The grounds also feature studio space, a self-contained annexe and a boat house.

In April 2026 it emerged that the property had failed to sell at auction, after failing to meet the reserve price.

The asking price was subsequently reduced to £1.755 million and later that same month, it was confirmed the home had finally exchanged hands, with bidding having opened at £1.4million.
