A spokesperson for Swift confirmed the nuptials in a statement, revealing the ceremony was officiated by comedy legend Adam Sandler. In further confirmation screens outside the venue displayed a celebratory message about 7.20pm ET, which read "JUST&T MARRIED!"

Taking to Instagram, the official White House account took a swipe at the couple with a parody of the digital billboards, posting an image which replaced their happy news with the words "Trump Is Your President". They captioned it: "It's happened!!!"

This was the second time Trump had trolled the glamorous newlyweds. On Thursday, the account posted a video clip of all-American images like Iwo Jima and the Miracle on Ice, which were dominated by an image of Trump, beneath the caption of America’s Eras Tour in a parody of Taylor's poster for her 2023 concert spectacular.

The president was not invited to the pair's big day, but the trolling didn't overshadow the event in which Swift broke with tradition.

Despite a plethora of famous female friends, she eschewed bridesmaids. Instead, her brother Austin Swift acted as her man of honour. Meanwhile, Kelce's best man was his older brother, NFL veteran Jason.

Images of the eagerly anticipated wedding looks have yet to be released, but it was confirmed that Swift wore a custom haute couture gown by Jonathan Anderson of Christian Dior. Kelce also wore a haute couture look by Anderson for Dior.

The event marked a first for the designer, who had never designed a couture wedding dress for a celebrity of Swift's stature before. Both the bride and groom wore Christian Louboutin shoes, and Taylor donned Cartier jewellery.

Among the plethora of stars who were spotted arriving for the lavish affair included Ed Sheeran, Jessica Chastain, Dakota Johnson, Jason Sudeikis, Benson Boone, Hugh Grant, Kelsea Ballerini, Camila Cabello, Ethan Hawke, Zoë Kravitz, Mariska Hargitay and Ellie Goulding. BBC talk show host Graham Norton was also spotted heading to the wedding, as was Bradley Cooper and girlfriend Gigi Hadid.

Other guests were shrouded in secrecy as their black cars were seen driving into a large white tent, the entrance marked by black curtains that shielded guests from nearby prying eyes.

On Thursday, Swift's team shared that she and Kelce had made charitable donations of $26million to more than a dozen organisations ahead of their wedding.
