A Korean granny social media star ate fish and chips and swigged BuzzBallz on a London day out ahead of a gig. Park Mak-rye, known as Korea Grandma online, spent the day exploring and ticking off a list of quintessentially London experiences ahead of hosting Virgin Atlantic Holidays' Heart + Seoul supper club.

The internet star was joined by fellow cultural icons, known as halmonis, who supped a pint and even hopped on a Lime scooter.Park Mak-rye is hosting the supper club in Shoreditch, East London, to offer foodies an authentic peek into Korean culture.

After flying into London on Virgin Atlantic's direct service from Seoul, Park Mak-rye will provide recipes, traditions and stories that made her one of Korea's most beloved cultural figures.Having run a restaurant for 43 years, Park Mak-rye became renowned for sharing her home cooking, family recipes and Korean traditions with audiences around the world online.

Now Park Mak-rye will bring a taste of Seoul to Shoreditch, serving up Korean favourites including banchan, home-cooked main dishes, traditional desserts, Soju and local beers. Virgin Atlantic Holidays, Heart + Seoul brings together food and culture through an open-plan communal dining experience inspired by Seoul.

Throughout the experience, Park Mak-rye will share the food, stories, and traditions that have made her a household name in Korea.Virgin Atlantic Holidays now offers a range of experiential holidays and the only UK direct flights to Seoul.

Food and drink won't be the only things on offer at the Heart + Seoul supper club. One guest at each sitting will win a pair of return flights to Seoul, with eight prizes available across the weekend.

Winners must book their trip and travel within two weeks, with the airline saying it embraces the spirit of spontaneity and proving that when it comes to adventure

The pop-up will run from Friday, July 10, to Saturday, July 11, with two lunch and two dinner sittings daily at 12pm, 2pm, 6pm and 8pm.. Bookings are £30 per person and can be made through Open Table, with limited space for walk-ins, with all proceeds going to Save the Children.
